Thoughts behind: Most people in the city don't like the feral pigeon/city dove – they're everywhere, they poop all over, and they’re considered unhygienic. On the other hand, the ‘white peace pigeon’ has always been cherished in religion, art, and mainstream Western culture. But personally, I kind of prefer the feral pigeon to the 'white dove'. I love walking around the city, watching these beautiful birds (yes, I’ll probably end up as the pigeon lady from Home Alone 2…). That’s why I created this illustration as a tribute to all the basic grey feral pigeons out there – I appreciate you!
